Fibre to the Premises
Your home may be located in an area that receives free to air TV, pay TV, telephone and broadband internet services through underground Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) technology. If you live in or are building in a new FTTP estate your home will need to be cabled correctly in order to receive these services and you may not require a TV antenna, satellite dish or modem.
What is FTTP?
FTTP revolutionises how services are delivered into your home by using underground fibre optic cabling as opposed to traditional copper methods such as ADSL and conventional telephone landlines. Fibre to the Premises supersedes copper telecommunications technology and opens the doors to new and exciting innovations that have emerged due to the availability of super fast broadband networks.
Why do I need it?
Super fast broadband internet, IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) that can potentially stream hundreds of internet based TV stations straight to your TV and video conferencing are only some of the services that will benefit the end user. The Australian Federal Government’s $43 billion push to upgrade the nation’s broadband services will ensure Australia’s position as a global leader in broadband internet technology.
How do I get connected?
There are now over 20 estates in the Perth metropolitan area that provide FTTP technology. These estates include: Brighton (Butler), Heron Park (Harisdale), Austin Cove (South Yunderup), Evermore Heights (Baldivis), Woburn Park (Ellenbrook), Malvern Springs (Ellenbrook), The Glades (Byford), Capricorn Village (Yanchep) and Banksia Grove (Carramar). Intelligent Home offers an obligation free advisory service for all underground telecommunication cabling related questions, servicing and installation requests. Our qualified designers and installers can assist you in customising a solution that meets your budget and lifestyle. Over the years we have developed strong relationships with the building industry and we work closely with many of Perth’s leading building companies to provide cabling services during construction to avoid lengthy connection delays.

Intelligent Home has recently become heavily involved with the National Broadband Network through our involvement with Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) suburbs/estates.
